Criteria for Graduate Student Publication

6.1 All or part of the GRP has been published or accepted for publication by the editor or editorial board of an internationally recognized and quality-ranked journal that meets the following criteria. (The date of publication shall be considered in relation to the student’s graduation.)

      6.1.1 An international journals accepted from The Thailand Research Fund’s database (TRF) or The Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Programme (RGJ PhD.)

           – Database and International Journals (Humanities and Social Sciences Fields) accepted from The Thailand Research Fund (TRF)

           – Database and International Journals (Sciences and Technology Fields) accepted from The Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Programme (RGJ PhD.)

           – Database and International Journals (Humanities and Social Sciences Fields) accepted from The Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Programme (RGJ PhD.)

     6.1.2 An international Journals accepted from Office of Higher Education Commission’s latest announcement 

           – ERIC 

          – MathSciNet

          – Pubmed

          – Scopus

          – Web of Science (only 3 database: SCIE, SSCI and AHCI)

          – JSTOR

          – Project Muse

6.1 A research article is published or accepted by editors or publishers to be published in an international journal according to the criteria for academic publication defined by the Higher Education Commission’s latest announcement 

          – ERIC 

         – MathSciNet

         – Pubmed

         – Scopus

         – Web of Science (only 3 database: SCIE, SSCI and AHCI)

         – JSTOR

         – Project Muse

6.2 All or part of the GRP, or equivalent work (e.g., innovation, design or prototype with potential for commercial or utility application), has been copyrighted or patented

 6.3 National Conference or International conference; and the full paper is published in the proceedings

         1) Criteria for a national conference: an editorial board or conference committee should be comprised of at least 25% of professors, or specialists with a doctoral degree, or well accepted specialists from other organization. There must be a peer review system in the related field. There must be at least 25% of research articles from at least 3 other organization.

         2) Criteria for an international conferencean editorial board or conference committee should be comprised of at least 25% of professors, specialists with a doctoral degree, or international specialists.

6.4 National Conference or International conference; and the full paper is published in the proceedings

         All or part of the GRP has been presented at an academic national or international conference, with the full article being published in the conference’s proceedings compiled by an editorial board or organizing committee at least 25% of whose members comprise professors, Ph. D. holders or specialists in the given field from non-host institutions or from abroad. The student is required to deliver, in person, his/her presentation orally or through posters at the time scheduled by the host

6.4 A research article is publicized by any means which can be retrieved. The article must be reviewed by at least 3 specialists before the publication. (Only student plan B)

2. In the case that a student is permitted to transfer from the master’s degree level to the Ph.D. level, NONE of his/her previous publications in fulfillment of the master’s degree requirements shall be accepted as fulfilling a Ph D level completion requirement.

2. A master’s degree-level research study already published or in the process of publication shall qualify as one of the requirements of a Ph.D. degree completion ONLY UPON approval by the Ph.D. Programmer Administration Committee, the School’s Graduate Studies Committee, and the Graduate Studies Committee, respectively.

3. The student’s name must be the first on the list of research study authors. In the case of a set of research projects, the student’s name must be either the first or the second on the list of authors, with an appended note indicating, as universally practised, that the student’s contribution is part of his/her independent study, thesis or dissertation in partial fulfilment of a Mae Fah luang University graduate programme.

3. In the publication, the student’s name must be the first author listed; the name of the dissertation/thesis/independent study’s advisor must be specified as a co-author or a corresponding author.

     In the case that the supervisor does not wish to have his/her name listed on the student’s published research paper, the supervisor shall state accordingly in the research publication report, as required by the University.

4. The student’s affiliation must be indicated in the publication and the address of the student or the dissertation/thesis/independent study’s advisor (if necessary) must be Mae Fah Luang University.
