No.1 A research article is published or accepted by editors or publishers to be published in an international journal according to the criteria for academic publication defined by the Higher Education Commission’s latest announcement [Announcement B.E 2563 (2020)]
(5) Web of Science (Only 3 Database: SCIE, SSCI and AHCI)
The date of publication acceptance will be considered.
No.2 The publication must have been published or accepted for publication by the editor or journal publisher in a journal accredited by the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) in Tier 1 or Tier 2, with the acceptance date considered as the primary date for the student’s work. No.3 National Conference or International conference; and the full paper is published in the proceedings [Announcement B.E. 2565 (2022)]
(1) Criteria for a national conference: an editorial board or conference committee should be comprised of at least 25% of professors, or specialists with a doctoral degree, or well accepted specialists from other organization. There must be a peer review system in the related field. There must be at least 25% of research articles from at least 3 other organization.
(2) Criteria for an international conference: an editorial board or conference committee should be comprised of at least 25% of professors, specialists with a doctoral degree, or international specialists.
No.4 A research article is publicized by any means which can be retrieved. The article must be reviewed by at least 3 specialists before the publication. (Only student plan B) [Announcement B.E 2563 (2020)]

» Related practices «
1. In the publication, the student’s name must be the first author listed; the name of the dissertation/thesis/independent study’s advisor must be specified as a co-author or a corresponding author. In the case that the supervisor does not wish to have his/her name listed on the student’s published research paper, the supervisor shall state accordingly in the research publication report, as required by the University.
2. The student’s affiliation must be indicated in the publication and the address of the student or the dissertation/thesis/independent study’s advisor (if necessary) must be Mae Fah Luang University.
3. In the case of students changing their level of education.
(1) In the case of transitioning from a Master’s degree to a Doctoral degree, research published or in the process of being published at the Master’s level will be considered as publication at the Doctoral level, subject to the conditions for graduation from the Doctoral program, provided that it receives approval by the Ph.D. Programmer Administration Committee, the School’s Graduate Studies Committee, and the Graduate Studies Committee of Mae Fah Luang University, respectively.
(2) In the case of a change from a doctoral degree to a master’s degree, the research work published by the student at the doctoral level is considered as the publication of research work at the master’s level, according to the conditions for completing the master’s degree program.
4. In the case that a research article submitted for the purpose of degree completion fulfillment has been accepted for dissemination in a national or international academic journal or publication, when the publication is due, as stated in the letter of acceptance, the student shall do the following. (1) If the research article is published before the student’s graduation, the student shall submit the proof of research dissemination to the Office of the Postgraduate Studies within 30 days of publication.
(2) If the research article is published after the student’s graduation, the student’s thesis or dissertation supervisor is required to monitor the progress and submit the proof of research dissemination to the Office of the Postgraduate Studies within 30 days of publication.
However, if, when the publication is due, the research article has not been published in the academic journal or publication stated in the letter of acceptance, the student’s thesis or dissertation supervisor, or the Programme Administration Committee, shall report this fact to the School’s Postgraduate Studies Committee, the Postgraduate Studies Committee, and the Academic Council for further consideration whether to submit a different article for publication or to take another course of action.
